Today was interesting. The family arrived, and we went out to eat. I'm supposed to make dinner tonight. I'm making tortellini. Nice and simple. And garlic bread, salad, and green bean casserole.
Tuesday Andrew called me and said that it looks like he's been assigned to Korea for a year. Woohoo...the first year of our baby's life. Well, God knew what would happen. At least now I know where I'm giving birth, and I can buy a crib, etc. Unfortunately, there's some baby stuff in Monterey in storage that I'd really like to have. As if I could have stuck it into the car, though! :) We were TOTALLY stuffed. I just won't have the 6 months and up baby clothes, I guess...I'm really glad I kept out the baby seat and 6 months and under clothes. Maybe I'll have a small baby like my littlest sister and she won't fit in them yet anyway. She is my first, after all.
Speaking of my littlest sister, the plan is for me to displace her to the sewing room and for her room to become mine and Alice's. I hope I get to paint it over, start fresh...
Well, I finally finished registering at Target! You can now go and buy me everything my heart desires. ;) My baby shower is only 2 weeks away. Cool.

Here I am finally, writing after our 'vacation' over spring break. I feel like I've been gone a long time, not just a week. It was nice weather down there in AZ.
Fortunately for me, we stayed in a hotel pretty much every night. I could not handle overnight driving trips right now!
Not much happening...my stomach has finally grown large enough for people to notice I'm pregnant. At church today lots of people said, wow, you're showing!! And I'm like, I've been showing since month 4. I'm almost in my last trimester for crying out loud! I'm 25 weeks tomorrow, and in one or two weeks (depending on how you count it) I'll be in the last 3 months.
What we did last week...drove down to Yuma in 2 days, and the kids and Dad went to the San Diego Zoo the next day while me, Kristi, and Mom stuck around town. In following days we went to see the Yuma Territorial Prison, Yuma Crossing, attended Frankie's (my grandmother on dad's side) birthday party, and got Mr. G's twice. The best mexican food available. :) I cross-stitched, crocheted, and knitted the time away. Otherwise it would have had lots of boring in-between time.
While we were gone Aunt Polly stayed at our house and bravely cleaned a good part of it. She did it for Mom's bday coming up in mid-April.
Speaking of mid-April, I'm probably going down to see Andrew in Alabama then. If he doesn't fail and get set back he'll graduate on April 29th, or thereabouts. He'll have leave inbetween then and his first station, so we'll drive to VA and visit a bit. I'll probably head down there after my shower (April 9th) and the last choir concert (April 19th, I think). I'm really looking forward to seeing him again. I forget how much I miss him most of the time, I keep myself busy and simply don't think about it. I'm glad he'll get to see me pregnant for a bit.
I can't think of anything else to say right now...hopefully I'll write before a month goes by. :)

Well, here I am rushing in a spot before leaving for choir. I really should manage my time better.
Here's a new belly shot, at 23 wks:

You can't see it, but I did my nails the other day. They're pink with flowers and tiny rhinestones. I usually can't have long nails because of the guitar but I'm on vacation. Saturday we're all stuffing into the Suburban and driving to Yuma to visit Dad's side of the family. Every seat will be filled...all 9. Crazy, huh? I can't imagine how uncomfortable it will be at 6 months pregnant, and Dad driving straight through the night I'll bet....
Other news...I finished a set of baby sized Ugg boots, I crocheted the bottom and knitted the sides. One day I'll actually take pics of my projects so you can see how talented I am! ;)

Here's my second blog of the day...I rushed off to choir and got there right on time, amazingly. Unamazingly (I've been sick...more on that later), I could barely hit a note. Well, really, I could hit about an octave of notes (right below middle c to about the b in the middle of the staff), though none sounded very good, despite being on pitch. :) Although it was hard to get my cords to hit the proper pitch as quickly as normal...no sound would come out for a second. :)
Lots of things have happened in the past weeks. My computer crashed for no apparent reason...I checked it with a virus CD but no viruses were detected. Apparently my Windows ME decided to stop working. It would shut down when it wasn't fully booted, and it wouldn't start in safe mode either. Soo....with much ado, of course, I wiped my hard drive and installed Windows 98, after plugging it in to my mom's computer to store a couple files. (If you open up the cover of your computer and remove the hard drive, and open up the cover of another computer, you can directly plug your computer's hard drive into the other's ribbon, amd it doesn't use your computer's operating system...it's just like adding a drive to the other computer. Confused? :)) Anyhow, I put Win98 on my computer because my system restore disks got packed with the movers. I used Mom's computer to download a driver for my modem, then downloaded all the drivers onto my computer so I have sound, media capabilities, and more than 16 colors. Oh the simple luxuries in life.
This happened right before I got really sick. My voice is still gone, and the past few days I've been laying in bed asleep. I felt much better today, well enough to go to choir practice. I wouldn't have bothered except our concert is this Friday!! It's a good thing I'm a quick learner with music and I've got it all basically memorized...I don't need to practice that much at this point.
Other events in the past couple weeks:
I helped out at my church's Awana Bible Quiz as a judge. Not too bad.
My baby shower got scheduled for April 9th at 2:00 pm. I will register at Target tonight.
I finally got coordinated with the music director so I can play my guitar on stage for praise team. I've been playing about a month if you take out all the time I couldn't practice. My guitar will move farther to the side as my belly takes up more space! :) It's amazing how much God helps out in the small things. I went from knowing no guitar to using it to serve Him in so short a time!
Another new development....one you may have noticed. I've got a name up with my ticker! Andrew and I have been talking in the past few weeks about names more and more, and one day he suggested Alice. It sounded alright to me, so I wrote it down. The next day after he mentioned it to his mom, she suggested Alice Rose...which is pretty but I thought it was a bit plain, so I suggested Alicyn Rose or Alice Roslyn. Both of which were nice but didn't feel that 'perfect'. I kept going through the name books, and the name Claire never really stood out to me before but I thought it sounded nice with Alice, so I mentioned it to Andrew and he thought about it, and said he had nothing against it. We looked at other names for awhile but it just kept coming back to me, so unless we find something else really great, her name will be Alice Claire. And, btw, they're both Greek names and have the meanings of "noble, truth" for Alice and "bright, shining, clear" for Claire. (Big surprise on what Claire means, huh?) Comments are welcome....

Now it's been a full month since I've updated! I'll have to post a pic from 2 weeks ago. I've gotten a fair bit bigger in the last month, although can you believe, I still get people who just think I might be fat! :)

So there's me at 20 weeks.
Eek, I have to leave for choir practice! I'll finish updating afterwards.
